Adaptation of a Public Nursery School

Adaptation of an old school building for Municipal Nursery School, consisting of four classrooms, multipurpose room ( a room which allows different uses including cafeteria), reception-administration, kitchen, toilets and changing room.

THE PROJECT HAS BEEN DESIGNED ACCORDING TO FOUR main objectives:

1 Response to the Program.

2 Functionality.

3 Representativity.

4 Economical construction and maintenance.

The distribution was arranged parallel to the side walls, leaving the right side of the building for administrative use and the left wing for educational functions. Two of the classrooms are joined by a sliding partition which allows the use of both at once, with a faster connection to the recreation area, consisting of a closed yard with a pergola which creates a shady area.
